What it does? The Virtensys I/O virtualization switch is the only solution that is non-disruptive to existing data center operations allowing users to take advantage of I/O virtualization. The switches pool and consolidate server I/O resources consisting of I/O adapters (10 Gb Ethernet 4/8 Gbps Fibre Channel 3/6 Gbps RAID controllers) and internal disk drives Then they virtualize the I/O resources and share them between the connected servers The Virtensys I/O virtualization technology leverages the existing PCI Express bus available in every server. It is fully transparent to existing servers and I/O adaptors and requires no changes to server or I/O hardware device drivers or management tools.
